London Eye |

Some may think that the London Eye does not really have much to do with the Inland Waterways of Great Britain but in fact in many senses it does. The London Eye does not just give superb views of London, it gives great views of the River Thames, the tidal section of the river which runs through London, the capital of Britain. Also certain bits of the London Eye were transported by boat on the Thames. At around 135 metres high, bigger than the 98 metres of Big Ben, the London Eye is now becoming very popular and it is said to be one of the the most popular and recognisable attractions in the world. The Eye turns on its axle very slowly, giving a superb view of London for approximately 30 minutes!
Many people travel to London for a day or a short break to go on the London Eye but also to do different things like taking a trip boat down the Thames all the way to Greenwich, where you can then catch a boat to the Thames Barrier! A good boat trip company is Catamaran Cruisers - we have tried them and were very pleased with their friendly service! - The boats are nice and there is a great commentary pointing out everything of interest!
